In 1985, after a successful 10-year teaching and coaching career, Mike entered the financial services field with Security Mutual Life in Omaha, Nebraska. Since that time, Mike has worked hard to build a clientele of individuals and businesses in Nebraska and Iowa.
Today, as a member of the team at Today's Benefits & Financial Services Mike has developed his business around personal financial strategies for the individual, family and small business owner(s). He is licensed for life, health, and income protection insurance, plus holds a Series 6 and 63 securities registration. During his thirty-five-year career, he has earned the following designations:
- Charter Life Underwriter (CLU®)
- Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®)
- Life & Annuities Certified Planner (LACP)
- Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF®)
Mike's industry and community involvement has been extensive. He is past president of both the Omaha and Nebraska chapters of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and currently serves as a member of the National APIC (Association Political Involvement Committee). Over the years, he has served on various boards including the Millard Athletic Association, Metro Omaha Softball and as chair of the administrative council of his church. Mike enjoys hunting, fishing, relaxing at the family's lake cabin and a "great bottle of wine". Mike and his wife Peg have three daughters: Erin, a school teacher in Schuyler, Nebraska; Amy, a business analyst in Omaha and her husband, Tyler (two grandsons, Conner and Eli), and Emily a Physician Assistant also in Omaha.
